
The organization shall be named Ivy League Rugby, and hereinafter referred to as “Ivy League Rugby,” or “The ILR.”
The Purpose of The ILR shall be to provide the governance for competition among the eight Ivy League schools.
The objectives of The ILR shall be:
1. To encourage and promote the development and growth of rugby football among the schools, colleges and teams in the Ivy League;
2. To advocate adherence to the laws of rugby football as promulgated by the International Rugby Board(IRB);
3. To coordinate and schedule referees for league matches and maintain relations with the various referees societies;
4. To coordinate ILR sponsorship;
5. To adminster the league and manage ILR finances;
6. Coordinate with Ivy League athletic departments;
7. Oversee conduct and discipline;
8. Manage relationships with Territorial Unions and USA Rugby
Membership is composed of the undergraduate teams of the eight Ivy League Rugby schools, subject to league eligibility rules,
which agree to conform to the Constitution and Bylaws of The ILR.
